Celtic Jackalope | Detailed Product Photo | 2019
Celtic Jackalope creates, manufactures and sells Celtic art, apparel, & jewelry.
Celtic Jackalope needed detailed product photography for a new work of art by their main artist Maxine Miller. The piece is a statue of the Celtic goddess Rhiannon. Maxine’s extremely detailed art is a big selling vehicle for her work. These fine details needed to be effectively and clearly captured while showcasing the beauty of the overall piece.
I shot the statue with a fairly flat 3 light set-up. First with a 50 mm f.4 lens for the long shots. Then, to get the tiny details and some nice depth-of-field, I used a telephoto lens zoomed in close. I then did some post-editing in Lightroom for color correction, detail and emphasis.
